IGC, Global Grains and Pulses Council and several other global bodies are the supporting partners of the event, organised by ICFA and sponsored by the Department of Commerce, GoI”

“Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture signed a comprehensive MoU with the International Grains Council in London at its 66th AGM, attended by senior officials of the member countries. India is represented by the Joint Secretary of Food, Ms. Anita Karn & ED of the Food Corporation, Ms. Vanita Sharma. The MoU was signed by Mr. Arnaud Petit, ED of IGC, & Dr. MJ Khan, Chairman of ICFA, following approval from the member countries.”

The Grains World 2024

The International Grains Council (IGC) is an intergovernmental organisation that seeks to 1. Further international cooperation in grains trade 2. Promote expansion, openness and fairness in the grains sector and 3. Contribute to grain market stability and to enhance world food security. These objectives are sought by improving market transparency through information-sharing, analysis and consultation on market and policy developments. Grains, rice and oilseeds market conditions are monitored on a daily basis, through circulation of daily reports and maintaining web-based information services, and the Council formally exchanges information at Market Conditions Committee meetings and Council sessions. The annual IGC Grains Conference is a public forum for discussion, and an opportunity to bring international buyers and sellers, industry representatives and policymakers together.
